The South Shore Recycling Cooperative (SSRC) seeks a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Supervisor to check in residents and assess load quantities at 10 to 12 Saturday events per year from 8 am-2 pm. Locations vary around the South Shore. For the Supervisor role, there are also some preparatory and follow up responsibilities. It does not involve directly handling HHW.
The SSRC also seeks two HHW Assessors to cover about 5-7 Saturday events each per year. Hours are from 8:30 am – 1:30 pm.
Ideally, we’d like to train each new hire at our 11/18 event in Hull for the Spring 2024 season and beyond.
Spring 2024 dates are: April 6, April 20, May 4, May 18, June 1 and June 15.
The successful applicants must be reliable, communicate effectively with the general public, and have good quantitative abilities. The supervisor will need a vehicle that can transport a few signs.
