The South Shore Recycling Cooperative (“SSRC”), on behalf of its eighteen Member Municipalities (MMs), is seeking bids from qualified firms to provide curbside collection and management of residential food waste in a subscription based, opt-in program as a preferred vendor.
Contracts resulting from this bid will provide a partnership between the awarded Contractor(s) and the MM as a preferred vendor, but will not directly fund service provided by Contractor. Payments will be paid directly by residents who subscribe to the service to the Contractor. The goal is to encourage residential food waste diversion and provide Contractor with a high volume of clients within participating municipalities.
Use of the contract is at the discretion of each MM. Contractor will receive full endorsement from the MM and the SSRC for the services described in the scope of work. Sealed paper bids must be received by Friday, April 18, 2025 at 1:00 pm. The opening of these bids will take place at the Weymouth DPW on Friday, April 18, 2025 at 1:05 PM.
