operates 3 transfer stations with recycling facilities:

Surveillance cameras monitor all
vehicles entering the transfer stations. Owners of vehicles that
don't have a current
transfer station permit will receive a violation notice and are
subject to fines.

Disposal areas are also monitored by
surveillance cameras for the disposal of materials
banned by State regulation
from disposal (310CMR 19.017).
Please use the recycling services provided by the Town or by private
entities for these materials. Violators are subject to penalties.

Reduced rate compost
bins
and kitchen scrap buckets
are on sale at all three transfer stations, as well as at the Highway
Garage at 159 Camelot Dr. The
Earth Machine sells for the wholesale price of $38.
Bulky, construction and demolition
waste is not accepted at the municipal transfer stations.
The Allied Waste Transfer Station on Beaver Dam Rd. accepts those
materials for $9.50/100 lbs.
Mercury is a heavy toxic silver liquid
also found in thermostats, barometers and blood pressure cuffs.
Bring your mercury thermometers and
other mercury-containing items (excluding fluorescent tubes) to one
of Plymouth's Household Hazardous Product
Collections or to the Transfer Stations during regular hours
and receive a free digital thermometer.
