CURBSIDE RECYCLING
Norwell has curbside recycling every other week for paper,
cardboard, aluminum foil, and metal, glass and
plastic bottles and cans. To obtain a Recycling Bin,
contact the Board of Health at 781-659-8016.

Open Wed,
noon-3 pm, Sat, 9 am -3 pm
- The first Saturday of every month (April - November only),
from 1:00 - 4:00 pm will be exclusively for recycling of
non-latex paint
and motor oil. Other materials will cannot be
accepted at that time.

White goods (appliances) - $10 fee for disposing of refrigerators,
freezers, air conditioners, microwaves
- TV's - $10 fee
- Computer Monitors - $10 fee
- Fluorescent tubes
- Rechargeable batteries
- Metals
- Swing Sets
- auto parts
- lawn & office furniture
- bikes
- lawn mowers (drain fluids)
- gas grill propane tanks (keep valve
closed, do not vent);
- appliances (remove doors, fee may apply)
- Grass clippings, leaves & brush
- Paint & motor oil. (limited hours - 1st Saturday of
April-November between 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm)
- Latex paint is not hazardous and may be disposed of in the
rubbish after being soaked up with kitty litter
- Oil-based paint, varnish, stains, used motor oil are
accepted
- Limits: paint: 10 gallons; oil: 5 gallons or
12 containers

Mercury is a heavy toxic silver liquid
also found in thermostats, barometers and blood pressure cuffs.
Bring your mercury thermometers and other
mercury-containing items (excluding fluorescent tubes) to the Board of
Health at 345 Main St. during regular hours or to Norwell's
Household Hazardous Product
Collection and receive a free digital thermometer or Dunkin Donuts coupon.
